Mmmmm, feeling really sleepy after a delicious birthday lunch at The Taverners, Godshill. Defeated by their amazing Lemon Meringue! Ventnor is one of our favourite places on the Island. Definitely a Caledon recommendation for a day out: mooch round the Botanical Gardens, lunch in the cafe there, gorgeous chunky sarnies and lovely risotto. Kids loved the playground and feeding the fish. Walk along the coastal path to Ventnor beach with breathtaking sea views, passing through the idyllic Steephill Cove - a real gem of a place. Minghella ice cream on the esplanade and a paddle in the sea. One great day out, thank you sunshine :)

Congratulations to Mark, Rob and Joe on cycling 100km round the Island yesterday! The Isle of Wight Randonnee had record numbers of cyclists this year, over 2500 taking part. It was pretty cold and windy but the boys did us proud!

Mountain boarding with Isle of Wight Adventure Activities in Freshwater last Friday was fab! It was a gorgeous sunny morning looking over the bay and such fun, we would definitely recommend having a go with friends.
A delicious pub lunch at The Red Lion in Freshwater afterwards was well deserved too - lots of tumbles and walking back up the hill was hungry work! Note - we all had very sore muscles the next day!
Isle of Wight Adventure Activities have a great range of activities to choose from, I quite fancy trying Coasteering next…watch this space :-)
